Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group is seeking a Senior Communications Officer for a 12 month period. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communications and Engagement Team in an innovative multi-Trust Group, responsible for both hospital and community services across Lincolnshire.

Based in Lincoln, but with travel to other sites across Lincolnshire, this role will require you to work as part of a wider Group Communications and Engagement team to deliver a comprehensive communications service across both Lincolnshire Community Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH).

You will be joining the Group at an exciting time, as it embraces the drive to shift more care into the community, and to use modern storytelling to support both staff and patients on that journey.

You will be an enthusiastic team player, with excellent interpersonal, organisation and writing skills and experience of press office, internal communications and stakeholder management.

The post includes general communications duties including delivery of internal and external communications projects and media, social media management, stakeholder management and supporting and advising Group leadership around communications activity.

At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS’ workforce.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments.

The role includes dealing with media enquiries, writing communications, graphic design, photography and videography, intranet and web publishing and social media.
