We are seeking an Administrator to join a specialised operational team within our Crime Management Bureau, responsible for ensuring crime information is accurately recorded, classified, allocated and finalised in line with National Crime Recording Standards and the National Standard for Incident Recording. This is a key role that supports the integrity of policing data, service delivery and investigations across the Force.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing, classifying, quality checking and finalising crime records on Niche RMS and other Force systems.
- Ensuring crime information is recorded accurately and in line with Force policies, Home Office guidance and national standards.
- Allocating crimes to divisional officers for investigation in accordance with relevant rules and procedures.
- Conducting timely initial reviews and enquiries, and where appropriate tasking further investigative activity.
- Maintaining and interrogating police and external computer systems to support investigations and operational policing.
- Managing and actioning forensic hits, including DNA and fingerprint matches, in line with policy and procedures.
- Providing advice and guidance to officers, partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the Force, including the Force Control Room, investigating officers and the Force Crime Registrar.
