This Senior Position sits in Programme & Project Delivery (PPD) and manages team members who project manage the delivery of exciting, innovative projects that include studies and schemes that ultimately aim to reduce the risk of flooding to communities and enhance the environment.

You will be responsible for line management of a technical team; recruitment including resource planning, onboarding of new staff and inductions; training, coaching and mentoring; programme managing a portfolio of work as Area Lead; and trouble-shooting and escalating project issues that project teams cannot resolve themselves.

You will have the ability to build a great working environment to bring the best out of high performing teams, encouraging your team to work collaboratively and effectively with their customers and partners.

You will support your team with project, contract and risk management decisions.

You will organise and provide training for new starters and existing team members.

You will use your interpersonal skills to build and develop a resilient network of working relationships with other team leaders across the organisation, facilitating smooth working for your team’s projects.

You will oversee a portion of the programme, your portfolio, and track performance, putting in measures to rectify as and when needed.
