We are currently seeking a temporary, ongoing part-time Library Assistant for our public sector client based in Belfast Library. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a community-focused environment.

Rate of Pay

£13.63 per hour & Saturday rate £20.45 per hour

Duties Include

  • Handling client queries using print and electronic resources
  • Registering clients and explaining library services
  • Enforcing library rules and regulations
  • Delivering services that support learning, leisure, and cultural needs of the local community
  • Conducting rhythm & rhyme & storyboard with primary school children

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs including English Language and Maths (Grade C or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a face-to-face public service role
  • Experience working with young children and elderly people
  • Proficient in using ICT to access and manage information
  • Must hold an Enhanced AccessNI clearance (Child's Barring List)
  • Experience working in a team environment
