An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd.

working on a 5-shift system at our Leyland facility.

Whatyou’llbedoing

Oversee the safe, efficient operation of bio‑drying and odour control systems across the facility, providing technical expertise and hands-on support while partnering with supervisors to deliver effective operations and maintenance programmes.

The following skills and knowledge are advantageous, alongside a desire to learn and develop, demonstrated through a willingness to undertake role-specific training opportunities and continuous development

  • NPORS certification for mobile plant (e. g. Front-End Loader, Forklift Truck, Tele-truck)
  • Knowledge or experience with bio-drying and waste processing systems
  • Familiarity with odour abatement systems
  • Understanding of processes and infrastructure in waste treatment facilities

Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.

Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable house waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
