We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Days in Custody Practitioner to join our team at HMP Wymott, a Category C male prison located in Leyland. Ideally, candidates need to be car drivers due to the location of the prison. HMP Wymott has a capacity of around 1,100 and has a varied and complex population.
As an Early Days in Custody Practitioner, you will support prisoners during their first days in custody, helping them settle safely into prison life, assessing their needs and vulnerabilities, identifying safeguarding concerns, providing emotional and practical support, and working with prison staff and other agencies to ensure appropriate care and support.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Tuesday - 8.30am - 6.30pm
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 8.30am - 7pm
Salary: This position is full time, and you will receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.
