Inglehurst Junior School have an exciting vacancy for a Level 2 teaching assistant to join our team in order to support KS2 learners to achieve their full potential. We are a welcoming and diverse school with approximately 300 wonderful children currently on roll. The vacancy is for a Level 2 teaching assistant who will be employed to support our fantastic children and enhance our provision. The role is temporary until the end of the academic year in the first instance, with the possibility of the role being made permanent at a later date.

You would be required to work 32.5 hours per week (8.30 – 3.30 with Β½ hour lunch). We would like you to:

  • Work closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom
  • Provide tailored support to children with a wide range of abilities and needs, including those with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Deliver small group and 1-2-1 interventions

The right candidate will:

  • Be flexible, adaptable and reliable and have excellent attendance
  • Be calm, patient, kind and confident with children
  • Work effectively and imaginatively to provide first class support
  • Have experience in working with children aged 7-11 from a wide range of backgrounds, with a wide range of needs
  • Be a team player, who can work under direction but also using their own initiative
  • Work with individual pupils to carry out specific interventions
