These flexible opportunities are ideal for Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and develop confidence across a range of year groups.

Duties as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and positive learning habits
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, when required
  • Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
  • Contribute to wider school routines during longer-term placements

Ideal Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a school or education setting
  • Confident working across different year groups and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, supportive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Adaptable, reliable, and proactive in different school environments
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
