Competitive salary – dependent on experience
Are you an experienced MOT Tester looking for a new challenge with a well-established, independent garage?
P & T Motors Ltd is looking for a reliable, experienced MOT Tester to join our busy workshop in Leigh.
We are a family-run independent garage with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to become a valued member of our team.
The role
As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests to a high standard and in accordance with all current DVSA requirements.
There will also be opportunities to carry out general mechanical work, servicing, diagnostics and repairs, depending on your experience and interests.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester
- Strong general mechanical knowledge
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs
- High standards of workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and friendly attitude
- Someone looking for a long-term position, rather than just a job
What we can offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Monday–Friday working week
- A busy and varied workshop
- Modern diagnostic equipment
- Friendly, professional working environment
- A well-established independent family business
- Opportunities for overtime
- No two days exactly the same
- Opportunity to develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities
We’re particularly interested in speaking to someone who is more than just an MOT tester — a competent mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills would be ideal.
If you're experienced, reliable and take pride in doing a good job, we'd like to hear from you.
