The role Cavendish Filters Ltd is looking for a Multi-Skilled Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for someone who wants to settle into a long-term position, learn different areas of production. You will get involved across the production process, working with machinery, tools and finished products while helping the team keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with maintaining production machinery
- Use hand and power tools to assemble, modify and prepare products
- Follow operating procedures and health and safety requirements
- Inspect finished products and identify any quality issues
- Keep your work area clean, safe and organised
- Support stock control and replenishment when required
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve daily production targets
- Take on additional responsibility as your knowledge and experience develop

The person
Our ideal Multi-Skilled Production Operative will have at least one year's manufacturing experience and a strong record for reliability and attendance. You should also have:
- Good attention to detail and practical ability
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- The ability to follow instructions and diagrams
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The physical stamina required for a production environment
- UK work authorisation
Mechanical knowledge and previous Team Leader or supervisory experience would be an advantage. GCSE-level Maths and English are preferred. A driving licence is useful but not essential. You will, however, need to be able to reliably commute to the factory for a 6:00am start, so candidates within approximately 12 miles may be best suited.
