Enjoy a 4-day working week and a 3-day weekend every week. Smart Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers looking for stable, ongoing work with guaranteed hours and excellent work-life balance.

Receive £500 after successfully completing 6 weeks and a further £500 after successfully completing 12 weeks in the role (terms apply).

The Role:

As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will operate a refuse collection vehicle while working as part of a team to provide domestic waste collections across residential areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
  • Work alongside loaders to complete daily collection routes
  • Ensure bins are emptied and returned safely to designated locations
  • Complete all scheduled collections and assist with missed bins where required
  • Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects
  • Follow all health and safety, road traffic and operational procedures
