Hours: Flexible working within the following daily pattern (number of hours will vary from week to week based on hires confirmed).

About Us

Enderby Civic Centre is a thriving local hub supporting the community to lead better-connected and happier lives. The Enderby Parish Council is looking for a diligent and friendly individual to join its team who will ensure the Civic Centre remains a safe, welcoming, and a clean and positive environment for all users during evenings and weekends.

The Role

As the Enderby Parish Council’s Evening/Weekend Caretaker, you will be the face of the Centre during out-of-hours bookings. This is a trusted, independent role involving lone working and responsibility for the total security of the building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security: Act as the primary key holder, opening/closing the building and setting intruder alarms.
  • User Support: Warmly welcome hirers (e.g., clubs, private parties), provide health and safety briefings, and answer general enquiries.
  • Room Setup: Prepare rooms with tables, chairs, and equipment as per the bookings rota, and clear them away after use.
  • Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform general cleaning (mopping, emptying bins) and minor DIY repairs to keep the facility operational.
  • Safety: Monitor premises for hazards and ensure fire exits are clear and secure.

Closing Date: Friday, 18th September 2026, 12 Noon.

£11,782.70 to £11,782.70 per year, pro rata.
