- What you will bring to the role
- Significant post-registration experience, including experience within acute maternity, antenatal inpatient care, maternity assessment, triage or comparable services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and support teams.
- Experience of managing workforce performance, recruitment, appraisal and staff development.
- A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, woman-centred and evidence-based care.
- Experience of service improvement, quality assurance, clinical audit and change management.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and external partners.
- The ability to work collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current national maternity priorities, professional standards and the importance of timely escalation, risk assessment and safe patient flow.
- A passion for developing others and creating positive learning environments for staff and students.
