A leading international construction and engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Site Engineer to support a major public realm construction and infrastructure project in West Yorkshire.

The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out works, maintaining dimensional controls, and ensuring construction activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure the successful delivery of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works in line with drawings, specifications, and site surveys.
- Coordinating with project planners regarding construction programmes and sequencing.
- Monitoring works and materials to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supporting quality assurance processes and maintaining accurate site records.
- Assisting with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensuring testing documentation is obtained from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Raising and managing RFIs and supporting the resolution of technical issues.
- Liaising with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and statutory authorities where required.
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and project procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification engineering experience.
- Previous experience working within civil engineering, infrastructure, public realm, highways, or major construction projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to produce accurate technical reports and site documentation.
- Good understanding of Temporary Works procedures, with TWC experience advantageous.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- First Aid certification.
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) training advantageous.
- Chartered status, or working towards professional accreditation with a recognised engineering institution, beneficial.
