Personal Assistant (PA) – Support a Fun, Creative and Inspiring Young Woman

Location: LS25 (Leeds)

Hours: Flexible – weekdays, evenings, weekends, with increased hours during college/school holidays

Pay:

  • Weekdays: £13.23 per hour
  • Weekends: £16.54 per hour

We’re looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to join the support team of an amazing 19-year-old young lady who lives life with enthusiasm and enjoys making the most of every opportunity. She is a full-time wheelchair user with learning disabilities, complex health needs and is looking for someone who will support her to continue living an active, fulfilling and independent life. You’ll always work alongside a family member, ensuring safe, person-centred support while building a positive and enjoyable working relationship.

  • Building with Lego

She communicates using a communication aid, Makaton, and some spoken language. A willingness to learn her communication style is essential—experience is welcome but not necessary, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As her Personal Assistant, you will provide support with:

  • Personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, skincare, hair and make-up
  • Assistance with feeding
  • Administration of medications and hydration via gastrostomy (full training provided)
  • Safe moving and handling (full training provided)
  • Supporting her to attend college, community activities, appointments and recreational outings
  • Encouraging independence, choice and participation in everyday life
  • Working closely with family members and following agreed care plans

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in care is welcome but not essential. The right attitude, willingness to learn and a caring nature are what matter most.

Hours Available

We’re looking to expand the team with:

  • Up to 16 hours per week during college/school holidays
  • Flexible hours available during term time
  • Weekday, evening and weekend shifts available
