- Personal Assistant (PA) Required β Deaf Young Person with Autism in the Methley, Leeds
- We are seeking a reliable and supportive
Personal Assistant (PA) to work with a Deaf young person who is 16 years old & who is autistic.
- Hours
- Total hours per week: 6 hours per week (2 x 3 hour sessions)
- Preferred days/times: Ideally weekends to be arranged with Employer
- Some flexibility may be required and offered by mutual agreement
Role Overview
The PA will provide 1:1 support, including
- Support with communication and daily activities
- Accompanying the young person on outings and social activities
- Supporting independence and confidence in community settings
- Activities may take place at home and in local community settings
Essential Requirements
- British Sign Language (BSL) β minimum Level 3
- Strong deaf awareness
- Experience working with Deaf people (professionally or personally)
Desirable
- Access to a car and ability to drive
