We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and adaptable individual to join our team as a Support Worker & Personal Assistant. This varied hybrid role combines remote administrative support, project coordination, personal assistance, and practical in-person support. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and finding practical solutions. You will provide essential day-to-day support while assisting with administrative tasks, managing projects, coordinating services, and representing the employer professionally when required. This role requires someone who is trustworthy, resourceful, and comfortable working independently, with the ability to balance professional administrative responsibilities with hands-on practical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Assistant & Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive diary, calendar, and email management.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, and schedules.
- Manage correspondence, administrative tasks, and follow-up actions.
- Organise documents, records, and confidential information with discretion.
- Support the planning, coordination, and completion of projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
- Track progress, follow up on outstanding actions, and keep projects moving forward.
- Liaise with professionals, suppliers, contractors, service providers, and external organisations.
- Attend meetings and appointments on behalf of the employer where appropriate.
- Represent the employer professionally when dealing with estate agents, contractors, tradespeople, service providers, and other organisations.
- Oversee builders, contractors, and other workers when required, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Manage responsibilities that require an in-person presence and cannot be completed remotely.
- Act as the employer’s representative when handling delegated tasks and ensure outcomes are communicated clearly.
- Research information, solve problems, and support decision-making where required.
- Maintain clear communication and provide regular updates on progress.
- Practical Support Worker Duties:
- Provide practical day-to-day support to assist with maintaining a smooth-running household and personal environment.
- Carry out tasks including cooking, cleaning, ironing, gardening, DIY, manual work, errands, and general household assistance.
- Support the completion of essential tasks while promoting independence and efficiency.
- Assist with coordinating services and communicating with relevant professionals.
- Adapt to changing needs and provide flexible support as required.
Working days (in person): Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (6pm-11:00pm), Saturday (6:30pm until 11:30pm) - 20hrs per week.
