We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Control Team Assistant to join a busy Finance team on a fixed-term basis for 6-9 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial data, building relationships across a business, and supporting key reporting and control processes. You do not need to be a qualified accountant, but you will have a strong interest in finance, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to work independently while collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the intragroup legal entity recharge process.
  • Prepare and maintain the month-end intragroup balance matrix.
  • Assist with IM P&L cost allocations across actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Work closely with Treasury to support invoicing and payment processes, ensuring timely clearance of intercompany balances.
  • Produce ad hoc sales invoices and support credit control activities.
  • Help maintain a strong and effective financial control environment.
  • Investigate and analyse variances, providing clear explanations where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support process enhancements.

About You

We're looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable working with financial information and data and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working within a finance, accounts, or business support environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with an excellent eye for detail.
  • The ability to identify, investigate, and explain variances confidently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Confidence in challenging processes and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to share ideas and support colleagues.
  • The ability to present information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
