We are looking for a proactive, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our Capital Contracting Team.

In this rewarding role you will support the management and administration of a diverse portfolio of maintenance contracts, helping to ensure the delivery of crucial services to our patients, staff and visitors across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will work closely with external contractors and internal colleagues to ensure the services we deliver meet the needs of our clinical colleagues and patients across the entirety of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

As a key member of the team, your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to build positive working relationships will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality estate and facilities services, supporting excellent patient care across the Trust.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our offices in Leeds, 3 days/week, you may be required to travel to across sites in the West Yorkshire region.

A laptop will be provided.

The role is Mon-Friday, 37.5 hrs/week.

  • What you will bring to the role
  • Negotiate and procure capital equipment, goods, and services in line with Trust Standing Financial Instructions.
  • Identify and evaluate new products and suppliers to support innovation and value for money.
  • Review supply and distribution routes to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage procurement of capital equipment using the Trust's electronic purchasing systems and databases.
  • Support development and maintenance of purchasing, inventory, and supplies databases.
  • Ensure medical equipment is appropriately maintained and managed.
  • Maximise use of existing contracts and identify new contracting opportunities with NHS partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, including regulations for high-value purchases.
  • Lead product evaluations and trials with clinical teams to improve efficiency and achieve cost savings.
  • Monitor, record, and report procurement savings and efficiency gains.
  • Prepare and issue contract documentation in accordance with procurement regulations and Trust policies.
  • Manage complex procurement projects and high-value contracts, working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • You will be motivated, organised, reliable & trustworthy.
  • You can follow instructions well and with accuracy.
  • You can keep on track with your workflow.
  • You are fully competent in Microsoft suite, including excel.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
