ANKAVE is an independent specialty coffee shop and cocktail bar located opposite Millennium Square in Leeds city centre. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking apprentice to join our small team. No previous café or bar experience is required, as full training will be provided. This is a practical hospitality role combining customer service, specialty coffee, food preparation, cleaning and general café operations. You will work towards a recognised Level 2 hospitality apprenticeship while gaining real experience in a busy independent venue.
Duties will include:
- Welcoming and serving customers
- Learning how to prepare specialty coffees and cold drinks
- Taking orders and payments
- Preparing and serving simple food
- Clearing and cleaning tables
- Cleaning toilets, shelves, fridges and work areas
- Cleaning coffee equipment correctly
- Washing dishes, trays and utensils
- Restocking products and supplies
- Checking stock, dates and cleanliness
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Learning basic cocktail preparation where legally permitted
- Completing other reasonable café-support duties
