Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer - Leeds - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client's team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience of pressure leak tests, compressor changes and braising. This is a mobile role, covering Leeds and the surrounding area.

Package

  • Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
  • Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
  • Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
