Learning Support Specialist - First Aid Certified
We are looking for a caring, motivated and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive Further Education college.
You'll provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and achieve their educational goals.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in learners' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group learning support.
- Assist students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Mental Health needs and other learning difficulties.
- Support learners in and outside the classroom.
- Encourage attendance, participation and independence.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with tutors and the Additional Learning Support team.
- Promote safeguarding, equality and student wellbeing at all times.
About You
- Experience working with students in a supportive or educational environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, patient and flexible approach.
- Experience supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Mental Health needs or other additional learning needs.
- Knowledge of Further or Adult Education.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, including a Barred List check.
