Water/wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
This role is responsible for the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of water treatment/distribution and industrial waste collection systems.
You will ensure the continuous operation of all associated equipment through hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and adherence to the highest safety standards.
Some key responsibilities involve the successful candidate to operate, maintain, and repair potable and non-potable water treatment works and industrial waste systems.
This includes troubleshooting and overhauling machinery, including pollution control and laboratory testing equipment.
A key part of the job involves planning and laying out work using blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
The operator will also perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and longevity, all while upholding safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Being able to identify an issue, and work in a team to a high professional standard is a must.
Training will be given when needed and performing other duties within the water and fuel shop when required
