Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children during the early stages of their education? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Knowsley for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to play a key role in helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children within the Early Years setting. You will help to create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting pupils through both structured activities and child-led learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development
  • Supporting pupils with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Observing and recording pupil progress when required
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and the wider school team
