The predicted salary is between 25582 - 31266 £ per year.
You will be reporting to the Team Manager (Housing and Homelessness). Your working pattern is Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Team Manager (Housing and Homelessness) in the management of Housing Revenue Account (HRA), Education and emergency tenancies. Although based within Housing Services, this role has a significant administrative element and would suit applicants with experience in administration, customer service or office support roles.
A large part of the role involves maintaining records, preparing correspondence, processing paperwork and supporting Housing Officers with a range of administrative processes. Previous housing experience is not essential as training and support will be given.
This is a varied role which assists both our Homelessness and Advice and Housing Management teams and provides support to Housing Officers in the management of properties and tenancies. Duties include:
- Assisting Housing Officers to ensure homelessness data is recorded as required by the Scottish Government
- Supporting arrears and tenancy breach casework
- Assisting with the process of preparing empty properties (including emergency properties) for re-let, including the purchase and acquisition of furniture
- Accompanying Housing Officers on home visits / interviews as required
- Drafting a range of legal notices and the administration of various processes including consultations and mailshots
