We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to work as a Personal Assistant supporting our 14-year-old son. He is autistic and enjoys getting out and about doing activities he loves. He has a big interest in trains, enjoys trips to McDonald’s, swimming, ten pin bowling, going into Glasgow, Formula 1, and building Lego. The role would mainly involve spending time with him doing some of these activities and helping him enjoy being out in the community.
We are looking for someone who is patient, understanding and has a good sense of humour. Experience of autism would be helpful but isn’t essential – the most important thing is someone who is kind, dependable and able to build a good relationship with him.
The contract would be flexible and zero hours/up to 5 hours per week, likely to include some evenings or weekends (Thursday and/or Friday), and can be discussed. Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour.
A PVG Scheme Membership or Update will be required for the role. Driver with clean UK Driving License is essential.
