Due to an internal development opportunity for the current post holder, an opening has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us as an Assistant Area Manager. The post is responsible for the operational leadership and delivery of library services and associated activities across our Templehall cluster (Templehall, Buckhaven, Cadham, Kennoway and Leslie libraries).
Leading a geographically dispersed team, you will ensure consistent, high-quality, customer-focused services that meet community needs and organisational priorities. The role includes direct responsibility for staffing, performance and compliance across the cluster, with line management responsibilities.
You will lead effective workforce planning, drive service performance, and ensure safe, well-managed environments, maintaining a visible leadership presence across sites with regular evening and weekend working as part of the role.
This is a fixed term job with an end date of February 2028.
