The role provides a key interface between developers and contracted suppliers with social value commitments and those that can benefit from them, helping to define, monitor and support delivery of these commitments. You will:
Work closely and positively with social value providers - including contracted suppliers, construction partners and developers, to define and support the evidenced delivery of their social value commitments.
Collaborate with team colleagues, council services, contract managers and planning officers to define social value requirements through planning processes (Section 106) or procurement, and assess subsequent proposals.
Engage fully with local partners including colleges, VCSE organisations, schools, businesses and council services to develop or identify opportunities that can benefit from the social value commitments that have been secured.
Contribute to the continued development of our approach to social value delivery through knowledge building and sharing best practice, supporting the implementation of our Social Value Framework.
Support the monitoring and reporting of social value delivery, including through written and verbal presentation.
