A high profile, accessible and responsive Practitioner with clinical responsibility for the delivery of Advanced Clinical Practice in Emergency Medicine, able to make informed decisions within their own speciality and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met.
The role of the tACP is integral to the medical assessment, management and referral of patients presenting to the emergency department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, working alongside the medical team, including doctors in training, and the wider multi-professional workforce.
As part of the multidisciplinary medical team, the post holder will provide clinical expertise towards developing and enhancing the clinical service in the Emergency department. The post holder will demonstrate advanced skills and competencies, and ensure that evidence based practice is inherent in all aspects of the patient care and treatment. Working within the multidisciplinary team following local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines, the tACP exercises independent judgement under supervision to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of Emergency Department patients. They work alongside and support the education and development of medical, nursing and AHP colleagues.
