Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+) - Respiratory Medicine

The QEH Respiratory team have a multi-disciplinary approach and have long worked as a team with Consultants, career-grade doctors, doctors in training, COPD, Oxygen and Lung Cancer CNS’s, ward-based and outpatient nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Respiratory inpatients are cared for on Necton ward which is a 33 bedded General Medicine ward with an interest in Respiratory.
The service also has access to acute NIV (Non-invasive ventilation).
This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+) in the Respiratory department.
The post holder is a key member of the medical team with a clear role in ensuring comprehensive care for inpatients and providing acute assessment on presentation.
- To be a key member of the medical team with a clear role in ensuring comprehensive care for inpatients and providing acute assessment on presentation.
- To develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
- Ward based care of inpatients in Respiratory ward, under the supervision of consultants.
- Provide clinical supervision of junior doctors In The ward and/or in the on-call team.
- Provide senior medical input for the on-call Medical Team (especially Out of Hours) and lead the cardiac arrest team.
