Job Purpose
I am a 22-year-old autistic man looking for someone to support me for two afternoons a week.
I need help with learning life skills in the community, accessing services and facilities, gaining confidence and attend to my hobbies such as photography, and attending groups of interest.
I would also like support with learning to budget independently.
I am selective mute and struggle communicating with others; however, I would like to build a rapport and confidence with others and find activities to give meaningful use of my time, learning independence and eventually finding a voluntary work.
I best get on with males that are similar age to me but once I get used to you will get on with anyone.
I struggle with sensory issues, loud noises and how things feel.
Unexpected noises such as sirens, motorbikes etc can cause me to lockdown, you will therefore need to be able to support me in these situations.
