The Weston is a traditional, community-focused pub and restaurant in the heart of Kilmaurs. We pride ourselves on providing great food, quality drinks and, most importantly, a warm and welcoming experience for our customers.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Front of House Team Members to join our team.
This is a varied role, working across both our bar and restaurant, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a busy and friendly team.
As a Front of House Family Member, you will be one of the faces of The Weston. You will help ensure every customer receives a friendly, professional and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.
You will work across different areas of the business, including the bar, restaurant and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and create a friendly first impression.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks to a high standard.
- Provide knowledgeable and helpful service to customers.
- Have a good understanding of our menu, drinks and current promotions.
- Be able to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
- Operate the EPOS/till system accurately.
- Process cash and card payments correctly.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and other members of the team.
- Keep customers informed of any delays or changes to their orders.
- Ensure tables are clean, tidy and correctly prepared.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the bar and restaurant.
- Restock drinks, glassware, condiments and other front-of-house supplies.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and licensing procedures.
- Deal with customer queries and complaints professionally, involving management when appropriate.
- Help create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for our regular customers and visitors.
- Work as part of the team during busy periods, live music, quiz nights, sporting events and other special occasions.
- Support colleagues wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of the shift.
