A 62 year old lady, living in the Acomb area of York, who has musculoskeletal health conditions, wants to recruit a second Personal Assistant. This post is to work on a casual basis to cover sickness and holidays for her current Personal Assistant. The person receiving care is also the employer. She has hidden disabilities that make her feel judged because they are not always obvious. She can be quiet, and needs someone outgoing who will bring her out of herself.
The Personal Assistant will be required to assist this lady with all aspects of daily living. Personal care support is required - helping her to shower and wash her hair. Tasks include:
- Support to dress
- Making meals and drinks
- Household tasks like washing up and laundry
- Taking the lady shopping
- Collecting and organising her daily medication
- Taking her to appointments and days out
The rates of pay and benefits: £12.60 per hour. You will receive 5.6 weeks (pro rata) paid holidays each year. Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks the cost of which will be met by your employer.
