- Job Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver cylinders safely and efficiently across local routes.
- Complete pre-start checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before departure.
- Load, secure, and unload cylinders in line with safe handling procedures.
- Follow all relevant transport regulations, company policies, and site requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete paperwork correctly.
- Provide a professional service to customers, ensuring deliveries are completed to specification.
- Report any defects, incidents, or delays promptly to the transport team.
- Drive responsibly with due care for pedestrians, other road users, and site personnel.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid UK
Class 2 (C) licence with a current Driver CPC.
- Valid
Digital Tachograph card.
- ADR licence in gas (2) packages
- Experience driving
HGV Class 2 vehicles (cylinder or similar multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of
UK road safety and compliance with driving regulations.
- Ability to load and secure goods safely , following manual handling and workplace procedures.
- Good level of route planning and time management to meet delivery schedules.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers and site staff.
- Comfort working in a physically active role, including safe lifting and handling where required.
