Supply English Teachers – Flexible, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Ipswich, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Duties as a Supply English Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
- Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
- Support pupils’ learning and progress during short-term cover
- Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
- Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes
Ideal Supply English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching English in secondary schools
- Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and year groups
- Strong classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
