An excellent opportunity for a stock control and inventory professional to take ownership of stock accuracy, integrity, reporting and improvement activity across a multi-site organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Inventory Manager to provide a single point of accountability for stock accuracy, value, risk and corrective action across the organisation. Working as the Inventory Manager, you will ensure senior leadership has clear visibility of inventory across the business, supporting stock holding decisions that meet current and future operational needs.
As the Inventory Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent stock discipline, minimising excess and obsolete inventory, releasing working capital and supporting operational teams with robust reporting and improvement activity.
DUTIES
- Stock Accuracy and Integrity: Own national stock accuracy and integrity across the organisation
- Stock Counting and Audit Standards: Implement and maintain robust stock counting and audit standards
- Inventory Analysis: Analyse stock levels, ageing and valuation across divisions
- Overstock and Obsolete Inventory: Identify overstock, slow-moving and obsolete inventory
- Root Cause Investigation: Investigate the causes of stock inefficiencies and support actions to prevent recurrence
- Reporting and Dashboards: Develop clear dashboards and reporting for leadership teams
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Production, Clinical and Branch teams to support stock integrity, regular stock counts and audit activity
- Stock Rationalisation: Support stock rationalisation initiatives and improve branch stock discipline
- Issue Resolution: Work cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering and logistics teams to resolve complaints and queries quickly and efficiently
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- ESSENTIAL
- Effective communication and time-management skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience in process improvement, prioritisation and developing, maintaining and monitoring reporting
- Experience working cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering and logistics teams
- DESIRABLE
- A degree or HND in Management or similar
- A background in the healthcare sector
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 or regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with RCA tools and CAPA processes
