Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Belfast city centre to recruit a new full time and permanent experienced Insurance Account Handler

As an Insurance Account Manager in the Belfast office, you will take ownership of a dedicated portfolio of commercial clients.

The role will involve Account management, client retention and portfolio growth, deliver expert insurance advice and build trusted, long-term relationships.

You will be fully supported in this location by an established local team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Placement: Placing all variations of complex commercial risks securely into the insurance market.
  • Strategic Advisory: Providing prompt, expert insurance advice tailored specifically to client needs.
  • Market Liaison: Partnering and negotiating effectively with insurer partners.
  • Portfolio Servicing: Maintaining top-tier customer service levels by processing Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs) and managing day-to-day customer queries.
  • File Management: Executing robust file and case management to ensure accurate, timely, and fully completed client files.
  • Compliance & Privacy: Strictly maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to company policies and regulatory framework

Requirements

  • Proven Insurance

Experience: Extensive account handling background specifically within the corporate or commercial insurance sector.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience resolving technical insurance issues across various risk sizes and complexities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across all corporate and client levels.
  • Industry Credentials: Fully
  • CII qualified or actively working toward your exams is typically required for this level

Role is working on a Monday to Friday basis - the role can be hybrid after training / probation

Salary will depend on background
