Installation Manager, London, £Depends on experience
Due to an up and coming assignment we are seeking an experienced Professional from within the furniture, joinery, fit-out and/or interiors sector.
This may be of interest to an existing Installation Manager, or a Site Manager, Project Manager or Fit-Out professional looking to take ownership of installation activities from project planning through to completion.
You will need to be able to work closely with internal departments, customers, suppliers and subcontractors, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing multiple installation projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Manage installation projects from pre-planning through to completion and final handover.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the installation process.
- Lead, motivate and support installation teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
- Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation prior to installation.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timescales, quality standards and budgets.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, schedules and reports.
- Prepare and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Ensure compliance with all site health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with design, production, sales and project management teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiencies.
- Manage project close-out activities, including snagging, customer sign-off and documentation completion.
Requirements
- Previous experience within an Installation Management, Project Management, Site Management or Fit-Out Management role.
- Experience gained within furniture, joinery, shopfitting, fit-out, interiors, manufacturing or construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Experience managing installation teams, subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Understanding of project scheduling, labour allocation and resource planning.
- Experience preparing RAMS and managing site health and safety requirements.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and business management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- You must currently reside in the United Kingdom and hold full right to work. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
