Abbeyfield The Dales is a not-for-profit care charity with one mission: Making Time for Older People.

  • Hours
  • 2 shifts over 7 days 8am to 6pm (alternate weekends)
  • Key Duties
  • Prepare and cook daily lunch and teatime meals.
  • Assist with menu planning and kitchen rota management.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels and assist with ordering from approved suppliers.
  • Support catering for social and special functions as required.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with Environmental Health Regulations, including SFBB records and cleaning schedules.
  • Monitor food storage, temperatures, and handling procedures.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, cutlery, and crockery, reporting any faults or repairs needed.
