Erewash Borough Council is looking for motivated, reliable and community‑focused Refuse Driver/Loaders to join our Waste and Recycling Services team. This isn’t just a driving job – it’s a role at the heart of the community. Every collection you complete helps keep our borough clean, safe and sustainable and you’ll provide an essential frontline service that residents depend on every week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive refuse and recycling vehicles safely and responsibly, following all health and safety procedures
  • Collect household waste, garden waste, food waste and recycling from various receptacles
  • Deliver and retrieve wheeled bins as required
  • Collect and dispose of clinical waste in accordance with regulations
  • Provide a professional, courteous service to residents
