We are currently seeking an experienced PDI Technician to join a reputable main dealer in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PDI Technician to work within a busy fleet department, ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before delivery.

  • Competitive basic salary with OTE of £43,000+
  • Monday to Friday working, 40 hours per week

Duties of a PDI Technician

  • Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles
  • Performing collection inspections prior to customer handover
  • Conducting minor servicing and mechanical repairs as required
  • Fitting accessories to vehicles when necessary as a PDI Technician
  • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and company standards
  • Identifying and reporting any additional repair or safety issues
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, adhering to health and safety protocols

Requirements of a PDI Technician

  • Ability to conduct PDIs accurately and efficiently
  • Good understanding of vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Positive attitude and effective team working skills
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential
