The Central Appointments team at Ilkeston Community Hospital have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and flexible individual into a Co-Ordinator role within our specialist team. This team co-ordinates patients' outpatient appointments attending for multi-speciality clinics over 5 community sites. Here you will work as part of an established team who strive to ensure that patients get the best possible care.

Please note the following posts are available: 1 x post for 24.5 hours.

Responsibilities of this role cover a wide range of administration and clerical duties including waiting list management, appointment scheduling, RTT pathways and answering telephone queries; therefore, a flexible approach to workload is required. Applicants must be confident communicators with the ability to liaise with clinicians, clinical staff and patients. Essential qualities include strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Flexibility is essential to the post in order to meet the service needs. Knowledge of the 18 week referral to treatment policy and standards would also be advantageous. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and also with minimal supervision. Full training will be given to the right candidate on all hospital based IT systems along with a structured induction.
