We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Manager to lead a dedicated service supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real difference by managing a frontline team that provides vital support to adult and child survivors of domestic abuse. The service acts as a key point of support for individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse, working closely across children's and adults' services. The successful candidate will provide strong operational leadership, support the development of best practice, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and trauma-informed interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of practitioners delivering domestic abuse support services.
- Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to staff, ensuring high-quality practice.
- Oversee complex safeguarding cases involving adults and children affected by domestic abuse.
- Promote a survivor-led and trauma-informed approach across the service.
- Support effective risk management, safety planning, and safeguarding processes.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including social care, police, health services, housing providers, and other specialist organisations.
- Contribute to service development, improving operational processes and outcomes for families.
- Support staff development, performance management, and continuous improvement.
About You:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced manager with a strong background in domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care, or related services. You will have:
- Experience managing or supervising a team within a domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care, or family support environment.
- Strong knowledge of domestic abuse, risk assessment, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience supporting complex cases involving vulnerable adults and children.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and partnership-working skills.
- The ability to motivate a team and drive positive service improvements.
- Previous experience within a domestic abuse service, refuge, IDVA/ISVA, advocacy, or victim support setting.
- Experience working with multi-agency partnerships and safeguarding networks.
