We are looking for a reliable and experienced Chef/Cook to join our friendly care home team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Previous experience in adult care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for residents according to dietary requirements.
Plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Manage food stock, storage, and ordering of supplies.
Work closely with care staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook (experience in a care home or healthcare setting is preferred).
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable).
Ability to prepare meals for large groups.
Good organizational and time management skills.
A caring and patient approach when working around residents.
