You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions.

What will you be doing?
- Lead commercial management across a portfolio of contracts, ensuring accurate valuations and strong cost control.
- Shape project-level commercial strategy, supporting tender development and supply chain engagement.
- Provide expert commercial advice, manage risk, and act as the escalation point for subcontract, client, and internal issues.
- Oversee valuations, change control, commercial governance, and contractual compliance.
- Manage subcontract procurement, onboarding, agreements, payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Maintain robust cost and financial controls, ensuring accurate reporting of costs, accruals, liabilities, and margins.
- Produce and present CVRs, forecasts, cashflows, WIP, and commercial performance reporting.
- Analyse contract KPIs and SLAs, identifying risks, opportunities, and value impacts.
- Ensure complete, compliant, audit-ready commercial records and registers.
- Support continuous improvement and development of commercial processes and team capability.
- What you’ll bring
- Experience in Infrastructure or Construction in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contract suites.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and commercial data analysis capability.
- RICS or CICES accreditation (or working towards).
- Experience with FIDIC, JCT or bespoke contract forms.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
- Wider exposure to varied project types and commercial environments.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and client engagement.
