Trust Grade Locum SHO - General medicine, Surgery, T&O, O&G, ENT and psychiatry
We are currently recruiting for a Trust Grade Locum SHO to work across a range of specialties including General Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G), ENT, and Psychiatry within an NHS Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SHO-level doctor seeking an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, investigate, and manage patients under consultant supervision.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Provide emergency and on-call cover as required.
- Perform clinical procedures appropriate to SHO level.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Ensure high standards of patient care in accordance with NHS policies and GMC guidance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months NHS experience at SHO level or equivalent.
- Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice.
- Ability to start ASAP.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- Candidates must already hold the legal right to work in the UK.
- Immediate availability is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in one or more of the listed specialties.
- Recent NHS locum or trust-grade experience.
- Additional life support certifications (ATLS/APLS) would be advantageous.
