Working within a down-to‑earth, hardworking industrial office environment, you'll be part of a collaborative finance team where no two days are the same.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll gain valuable exposure to all aspects of transactional finance and accounting, providing a solid foundation for a long-term career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and organising the general accounts inbox, ensuring queries are allocated appropriately and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Assisting with sales ledger administration and customer invoicing.
  • Supporting credit control activities and monitoring outstanding customer payments.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and cashbook maintenance.
  • Preparing and posting accounting journals under supervision.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Processing employee expense claims.
  • Assisting with the preparation of management reports and financial information.
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, financial controls and accounting processes.
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required.
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or AAT qualification.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
