Triumph Consultants are looking for a HR Consultant with a strong focus on Job Evaluation to join our HR team. In this role, you will help make sure jobs are evaluated fairly and consistently across the organisation. You will work with managers and HR colleagues to provide expert advice on job design, grading and HR policies. This is a Permanent role in Bristol.

Pay Rate: £42,839.00 per year

Location: Bristol, BS1 5TR

Hybrid working: Mostly remote working with some office attendance, possibly 1 day a week.

Key requirements:

  • Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, or appropriate and demonstrable experience, knowledge and skills with commitment to become a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
  • Solid HR experience, including policy development and/or casework, alongside a good understanding of employment law and good HR practice.
  • Proven track record of independently and confidently advising on complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, restructures, TUPE, investigations and dispute resolution.
  • Evidence of integrating equality, diversity and inclusion policy and guidance into all aspects of HR practice, to build capability in leaders to create inclusive workplaces.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on challenging and complex employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with HR policies, organisational objectives and legal requirements.
  • Autonomously lead and manage a wide-ranging caseload covering absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance management, internal restructures, TUPE transfers, internal appeals, ACAS early conciliation, Employment Tribunal cases and conflict resolution.
  • Develop comprehensive HR policy and procedures to comply with changes to relevant legislation and the needs of the organisation. Engage and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders including trade unions and senior leaders to gather feedback and gain buy-in, in conjunction with senior HR colleagues.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into grievances and misconduct allegations in a timely manner, with conclusions that are evidence based and robust.
