About the role: As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.
Key responsibilities
- Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
- Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
- Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
- Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
- Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback
Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level). On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job.

Pharmacy experience preferred but if candidate has good experience/qualifications will consider. We are looking for somebody based within 15 minutes of the pharmacy, please make this clear on your CV if you are able to drive.
Working Week: 30 hours within opening hours - Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings.
Qualifications Required: Potential apprentices must have GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English.

Skills Required: Training to be Provided Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3.
