Duties of the PDI Technician
- Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle systems using standard diagnostic equipment.
- Preparing vehicles for sale by completing comprehensive pre-delivery checks.
- Upselling additional repairs or services where appropriate.
- Assisting with general workshop tasks, including repairs, servicing, and sales preparations.
- Ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements of the PDI Technician
- Proven experience as a PDI Vehicle Technician or similar role within a dealership or workshop environment.
- Technical competence in vehicle diagnosis and electronic systems.
- Ability to perform PDI procedures and identify potential faults.
- MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, efficient work approach.
- Motivated team player with good communication skills.
