Duties of the PDI Technician

  • Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle systems using standard diagnostic equipment.
  • Preparing vehicles for sale by completing comprehensive pre-delivery checks.
  • Upselling additional repairs or services where appropriate.
  • Assisting with general workshop tasks, including repairs, servicing, and sales preparations.
  • Ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements of the PDI Technician

  • Proven experience as a PDI Vehicle Technician or similar role within a dealership or workshop environment.
  • Technical competence in vehicle diagnosis and electronic systems.
  • Ability to perform PDI procedures and identify potential faults.
  • MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, efficient work approach.
  • Motivated team player with good communication skills.
